Kramer returns to work at H&H Bagels after a 12-year strike finally ends, only to go back on strike demanding time off for Festivus. Festivus is a holiday invented by George’s father, featuring an unadorned aluminum pole and the Airing of Grievances.
George uses the fake holiday to hand out fake donation cards to his coworkers for “The Human Fund.” When his boss confronts him about the fake charity, George invites him to a deeply uncomfortable Festivus dinner to prove it’s a real religious observance.
